To find a young and upcoming local brand and create a new media based campagin that would help build brand awareness.
ZANG is a newly launched caffeinated chocolate bar. It has the equivalant caffeine content to that of
an energy drink. ZANG positions itself to a younger target market and commnunicates its brand message through its functional benefit, 'the pick me up' delivered by the caffeine.
This campagin was focused around a branded content element. We looked at ways and inputs we could use to tell whether the ZANG customer was feeling tired or in need of a pick me up.
How could we measure the fatigue of customer? So we created the ZANG app. A mobile application that runs in the background of your smartphone.
It tracks and collects all the imputs you make on your keyboard to decide whether or not you are fatigued and in need of a ZANG.
The app would calculate all of the words you have typed and put it into more familiar terms and relatable terms.
IE. "You have just typed the equivlant of 50 shades of Grey. The app would act as a kind of wake up call to alert you to the amount of time you are spending on your phone, and perhaps in need of a pick me up.
The campaign was illustrated through a micro-site that explained the idea of the ZANG App.
The entire website was hand coded from scratch.
